Fortnum & Mason - Coronation Artist - Jethro

The Vision

Fortnum & Mason created a wide range of products providing 'all you need to Celebrate Royally'. Food, drink and keepsake gifts, all created to mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. To show the level of craft and quality of these products, F&M worked with DBM to create a series venturing into the studios of the artists behind the remarkable designs that adorn the products.

A sense of wonder, curiosity, and discovery was the throughline that guides these artist interviews. Showcasing and hearing a a trail of breadcrumbs that guides us down to discovering the artistry. Each morsel enough to build an appetite for more. Ultimately the goal of these was to create something that presents the incredible level of detail and work that goes in to making Fortnum & Mason's products world-class.

Fortnum & Mason - Third Floor Reveal

The Vision

Fortnum & Mason's Iconic London Store has been through some changes. This film headed the campaign launching the newly renovated space, in their words ''A destination for sipping, supping, testing, tasting, mixing, making and cocktail-shaking — where beginners meet masters and playing with food is always encouraged.'' It's not a simple concept for a retail space to foster community and the challenge was to showcase the nuance of the vision.

Showing the scope of this highly faceted space, using a variety of compartmentalised wides and highly contextual textured details. Balancing a cacopheny of footage with a delicate tone that feels true to the brand. There is a playfulness and curiosity at the heart of the goal for this edit. Something accented by the score.

Bar 3'6 was designed as 'An intimate and relaxing daytime spot for work, rest, and play. An atmospheric night-time destination, with a speakeasy intimacy and an enviable assortment of extraordinary cocktails'. Showing that

The challenge here was a little more clear with the lighting and visual tone, trying to balance the low key intimacy of the night time with the bright, work-inviting daytime experience. The colour work was challenging with this footage though I am happy that we managed to arrive at something that feels coherent.

I've worked with Jacob on various projects which is why I trusted him to work with us on one of our anchor clients in Fortnum & Mason. We had a great success with the coronation campaign and subsequently work together again on a campaign documenting the historic opening of Fortnum and Mason's new 3rd Floor and subsequntly 3'6 cocktail bar.
